| Hmmmmmm..... Yea.....awk---ward.......
Hey sorry for the long absence, I have been so busy between, school, church, and work. It's unbelievable how crazily busy I have been since school has started, it kind of sucks.
I just got back from seeing Saw II. Amazing, this movie was better than I thought it would be. It's not so much jump out of your chair scary, but more scary I-would-never-wat-to-be-in-that-position scary. There was a lot of that.It made me cringe in places but it had a sweet twist. I'm not going to say anymore just in case there is somebody out there that reads this that wants to see the movie and hasn't yet. So I recommend this movie. It was sweet.
Ok, there are a lot of other movies that have come out that I want to see that lok amazing or have caught my attention. There is Doom, a movie based off of one of the best-selling FPS games and one of the best FPS games ever made, Serenity, a movie based of a Sci-Fi series called Firefly (I think), and History of Violence with Aragorn. There are probably others, but I can't remember them right now. There are also a lot of movies coming out that I want to see, like Harry Potter which actually looks pretty kewl. It looks like they did a really good job on the dragons and merpeople, sweetness. Then there is...(Choir starts singing in the background) The CHORNICLES OF NARNIA!!! Holy crap, when I saw this trailer I almost pooed myself, it was that amazing. This is probably my most atticipated movie coming out right now. O man it makes me sweat just thinking about it. Can't wait.
In other news...I just got a new job over at Meijers. It's gonna be awesome, I'm going to get paid more money and still have a flexible schedule so that makes me happy, plus I have a lot of friends that work there so I will actually know people on the work force. I first will start off as a Utility Worker (cart pusher) and get paid $6.25 an hour then after 30 days of working and showing I care: i.e. good attitude, showing up on time, stuff like that, I get moved up to cashier and get paid $8.00 an hour, so sweetness more money for the J Barnes. It will be nice, although still having to pay for some expenses (insurance and gas) w00t...
In drawings, I just did this thing for my school theater, its pretty sweet I think, so tell me what you think.

It's the cover for the program for the Fall play. The play is called Much Ado about Nothing. I think it sounds boring but, nobody cares what I think. lol. Working on some other stuff as well, some fanart here and there, but mostly inking some stuff I have had done. (i.e. centaur guy with big sword some of you might know what I am talking about) So arts getting better, just thought I would show you guys something I have done late ly.
In stories, once again to busy to do much, so stories right now are on hold until I get some more free time, sorry guys, I know I said I would have stories up here but I haven't had that much up yet, I will try as hard as I can to write these things and get them up for your entertainment. Thanks for understanding.
Alright I think that is done with updates, if I remember anything I will try and post again, sorry once again for the long absence. Miss you guys.

| This past week has been pretty cool. Last saturday, me, my dad, my brother, and my girlfriend, Sam, all went to see Phantom of the Opera. Holy crap, it was amazing. The guy who played the phantom had an amazing voice. You could tell his emotion just from listening to him. Overall, all the singers had amazing voices, way better than the movie, seeing it live is so much better. It was awesome. We also had schedule pick-up this past tuesday. Pretty sweet, got to see when my classes were. My schedule is as follows: 1st Semester 1. U.S. History 2. C.P. English 11 3. Pre-Calculus 4. Intro to Computer Science 5/6. Marching Band (w00t!) 7. Lunch (Double w00t!) 8/9. Advanced Mix Chorus (a.k.a. Chamber) 10. Honors Chemistry 11. Computer Graphics I 2nd Semester 1. Computer Graphics II 2. C.P. English 11 3. Pre-Calculus 4. Psychology 5. Lunch 6/7. Concert Band 8/9. Advanced Mix Chorus 10. Honors Chemistry 11. Creative Writing with Style My schedules pretty sweet. Basically my entire schedule is bascially identical to one of my friend's schedule, plus I have some classes with Sam (Amazing!). I get to take the classes I have been wanting to take (CG I and II and Creative Writing) and I am finally done with French. Sweet!!!
Besides that, nothing really going on. We go back to school next Wednesday, which I am actually looking forward to, I just better make sure I finish my summer reading before then, The Crucible. Plus I get to drive to school now, that is pretty awesome. NO MORE BUS!!! Unless I get my car taken away, but then all I have to do is mooch a ride from someboyd else, so its all good.
Besides that, I will be posting the 2nd chapter in Reawakened Angels soon, and I am working on a new piece called Serenia (Tentative Title). This new story is about this kingdom called Serenia, hence the name. Not exactly sure what the story will be like, because I just started it, but I will work on it and update when I get more figured out.
Alright sweet that's about it. Before I go, here is an optical illusion, it's one that makes you think, but isn't really that hard to understand. Just a pic I had on my computer that I thought I would post. So have at it.
What do you see? To men staring at each other, or an elegant goblet from the kings of Garudai?

| Reawakened Angels
Chapter 1: The Beginning
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth, and it was good. Along with the creation of the universe, God created his holy legion of angels. They were to serve him forever, and to praise his name. Each angel was given the choice to follow God or to turn there back on him. For a time it was good. The angels followed their creator, but eventually an angel became jealous of God's power, and wanted it for himself. Thus Lucifer started recruiting other angels to join in his rebellion against their Father. God foresaw all this. Lucifer fell and was forever banished from the holy realms of Heaven and sent to Earth and to the dark realms of Man. God sees all, and new the coming of the Great Fall, as so many angels refer to the fall of Lucifer and his followers. When the angels were created in the beginning, God put a number of angels in the comatose chamber, to be awakened whenever an angel would fall. Every angel that falls is replaced by a reawakened one. This is the story of one of those reawakened angels...
"He's just sitting there, doing nothing", a woman says to a man sitting next to her. "What's he planning?" "I don't know exactly," the man replys, "but our orders are to retrieve information on the where about of his generals." The woman is approximately 5 foot 11 inches, 25 centuries old. She is a fair-skinned woman with blonde hair and has a very lean build. She is still quite young, and beautiful, for an angel; for a human even. She was awakened when her counter part fell waging a spiritual war in early 100 B.C. Her name is Elise, private first class, special operations division. Her partner is somewhat of the silent type, the polar opposite of Elise. He has a more muscular build, and is about 6 foot 9 inches tall. He has fairly dark skin, with dark brown hair and dark brown eyes. He is a veteran, one of the first to be created, but he looks like he's still in his twenties, as do most angels. His name is Axel, first lieutenant, special operations division, specialty: heavy machinery. "What do we do now, Axel?" "We wait." "WHAT!?! Are you serious! Awww...I hate waiting." Both Elise and Axel are sitting on the edge of a mountainside forest, near a drop-off cliff, scanning a very large building to the south-southwest. The building is 72 stories tall, and looks as if it were an office building. Their main focus is the office on the very top floor, where a man is sitting inside at his desk. This office spans the entire floor and is a little taller than two stories. It has two large circular windows in the center of the eastern and western walls that go from the floor to the ceiling. The windows house an interesting insignia; the insignia is shaped like a "W", pointed at each tip, with the center raised higher so it sits near the top. On each side of these large windows, there are shorter windows that span the entire floor, from one wall to the other. This office also has one large fireplace that spans the entire southern wall; the main source of light in the office. On the opposite wall, there is a large double-door that, like the large circular windows, goes from the floor to the ceiling. These doors have pillars on each side, and also house the insignia in the center when the doors are closed. The man sits on a large padded chair covered in dark crimson leather. On this chair there are wings that come down from the top and cover the sides along with ornamental bat heads at the ends of the arm rests. Besides the man, his desk and his chair, there is nothing else in the office. The man continues to sit at his desk, his back to the fire. After some time, Elise stands and starts to pace around their position. Impatiently she pulls out her sword. She starts practicing some sword techniques, slicing down some trees in the process, gradually getting more aggressive until she finally explodes. "WHEN WILL WE DO SOMETHING?" "Be patient." Axel says in a calm fatherly voice. "We must wait until he leaves before we can do anything." Elise gives out a muffled scream then sits down, cross-legged. Axel continues to monitor the office and the man inside.
After about another hour, the man in the office stands up. He walks across the office to the opposite wall and leaves through the double-doors. "Alright, now is our chance to strike." Axel says to Elise. "Finally." Both Elise and Axel stand on the mountainside and open their wings. They run towards the cliff nearby and jump off. They flap their wings once or twice to gain some altitude, and eventually start to spiral down towards the top of the building they were monitoring earlier. After a simple drop, they land on the building’s roof and head towards the stairs. On their way down, they have a small conversation, "Elise, do you understand what we are going to do?" "Yes, Axel, I do." "We go in, get the information, and get out. If he is still there, we don’t assume anything. We just leave, got it?" "Yes, Axel, I do," Elise says sarcastically. "What did you say?" "Yes sir. We just leave if he is still there," Elise says in a more serious voice. They reach the floor of the office with the large windows, and head towards the doors. As they get closer they realize the doors are halfway opened. They peer inside and see that the man is back and once again sitting at his desk. At this sight, both Elise and Axel turn and press their backs to the walls on either side of the doors. "What’s he doing back?", Axel says, more to himself than Elise. "I thought he left." "I don’t care. He’s by himself," Elise says taking a quick glance inside the office. "We should get him now!" "NO!!! We cannot assume anything!", Axel says frantically as Elise turns and runs into the nearly empty office. As Elise runs into the office, the man raises his head. "Welcome my friend. We've been waiting for you." Elise turns to leave, realizing her mistake. But as she tries to leave, five demons appear in front of the door, blocking her way out of the office. "Allow me to introduce", the man says walking up to Elise, "my generals." | | |
| Sorry for the long absence guys, but I just got back from band camp.
Holy crap, it sucked like none other. Everyday except today was around 97 degrees, with no clouds and no rain or anything. It was insane. We were able to get a little over half our show on the field. We got 52 charts out of about 94, on the field in about five days, if you know anything about marching band, thats pretty good. Oh well, the facilities were really nice and the food was awesome, so I guess that made up for the heat. And I hear we are going back to the same place next year, so sweetness!!!
You know what I just found out today? A lot of people are starting to say sweetness, my dad says it a lot, and I just heard my pastor's wife say it. That's my word! But I think its my fault they say it, because I say it all the time. oh well.
Besides that I'm still trying to get some drawings up here if I can, I just haven't really had time to, but hopefully I can get them up soon.
And as far as the stories that i talk so much about...(drum roll) Ta Da! I finally will post the first part of my story, called Reawakened Angels (I know it might be a lame titled, but I like it and its good for the story) So that will be the next post. Awesome!!!
Alright thats all for now, peace out brothers and sisters.

| alright here is a sweet e-mail I got from one of my friends. It's realing interesting, it's kind of spiritual too.
--A little girl had been shopping with her Mom in Target. She must have been 6 years old, this beautiful red haired, freckle faced image of innocence. It was pouring outside. The kind of rain that gushes over the top of rain gutters, so much in a hurry to hit the earth it has no time to flow down the spout. We all stood there under the awning and just inside the door of the Target. We waited, some patiently, others irritated because nature messed up their hurried day. I am always mesmerized by rainfall. I got lost in the sound and sight of the heavens washing away the dirt and dust of the world. Memories of running, splashing so carefree as a child came pouring in as a welcome reprieve from the worries of my day.
The little voice was so sweet as it broke the hypnotic trance we were all caught in. "Mom, let's run through the rain," she said. "What?" Mom asked. "Let's run through the rain!" She repeated. "No, honey. We'll wait until it slows down a bit," Mom replied.
This young child waited about another minute and repeated: "Mom, let's run through the rain," "We'll get soaked if we do," Mom said. "No, we won't, Mom. That's not what you said this morning," the young girl said as she tugged at her Mom's arm. "This morning? When did I say we could run through the rain and not get wet?" "Don't you remember? When you were talking to Daddy about his cancer, you said, 'If God can get us through this, he can get us through anything!"
The entire crowd stopped dead silent. I swear you couldn't hear anything but the rain. We all stood silently. No one came or left in the next few minutes. Mom paused and thought for a moment about what she would say. Now some would laugh it off and scold her for being silly. Some might even ignore what was said. But this was a moment of affirmation in a young child's life. A time when innocent trust can be nurtured so that it will bloom into faith. "Honey, you are absolutely right. Let's run through the rain. If God let's us get wet, well maybe we just needed washing," Mom said.
Then off they ran. We all stood watching, smiling and laughing as they darted past the cars and yes, through the puddles. They held their shopping bags over their heads just in case. They got soaked. But they were followed by a few who screamed and laughed like children all the way to their cars. And yes, I did. I ran. I got wet. I needed washing.--
Through God, all things are possible, even what may seem impossible, is possible in Him. I need washing, I need to be cleansed.
